CREATING BUSINESS ALIGNMENT: IMPORTANT?

Yes, senior team capacity and goals alignment is critically important. Are you wondering why - and how to check the alignment? "Because if you don't help them agree on where the business is today, they can't effectively move it to tomorrow. It's like starting a trip from separate spots on the map... makes for a wild ride." Agree?

Next question...  "How will I know (and how can I prove to my client...) that the team is all over the map?"

Aha! Great question. "How?" You ask them. But not just willy-nilly, you ask them to each analyze the business using a set of generally accepted best practices, and then you compare the results. Like oil levels and tire pressure - and alignment. Yesterday a Growth-Driver described best-in-class as having "high quality operations", and it rings true.  High quality people and processes, with predictable cash flow to fund growth.

Here's how your colleagues are measuring alignment. But first, can I please share a data point? With over 12 years in this game I have never seen an analysis uncover alignment. Just the opposite: teams have widely divergent views about strategic capacity and aren't even aligned around business goals.  Most clients don't even realize it's true, and deeply value the help they get seeing and fixing this issue.

Do you see how shining a light on misalignment can open the door to working with a client long-term? Of course you do. OK, here's the 1-2-3:

  1. Sit with the CEO and run through the CLARITY Level 1 analysis
  2. Send the senior team the same analysis - and promise their answers are anonymous
  3. Build and deliver your report.  Your peers today charge $3000-$10,000 per project

OK, if this sounds interesting to you, here are the instructions and links to key resources.

Recap: one of the critical Growth-Driving Objectives for best-in-class businesses is having an effective senior leadership team. Objectives like this of course include several supporting key results. To be effective, one key result is that the team be aligned around current strategic capacity - and the CEO is looking to you as Co-Pilot to identify the issues and help sort them out. And we're here to help you do just that. Let's go.

You can learn how to apply the Growth-Drive methodology, including senior team alignment by participating in the Growth-Drive Launch Course. Your next opportunity is September 20-21-22 from 10-12 and 3-5 ET, space is limited to ensure a quality experience.
