Private Business is the Engine for the Pursuit of Happiness

Inspired by the inauguration, in this week's Business Advisor Hot Seat podcast George shares his passion for capitalism, private business, and their role in democratizing wealth: private business as the engine for the  pursuit of happiness. As a self-proclaimed capitalist, Sandmann believes that while capitalism isn't perfect, it recognizes human motivations and outperforms all other economic systems.

George's personal vision is to end poverty at micro and macro levels - for individuals and for communities. Drawing inspiration from Victor Davis Hansen's book "The Soul of Battle," George highlights an interesting observation: wealthy democracies do not go to war with each other. In fact, never in the history of humankind has tyranny ever vanquished liberty. Moreover, vibrant democracies tend to have the highest per-capita GDPs precisely because the embrace private industry as their economic foundation. The inescapable conclusion is that expanding private business can expand the prevalence of vibrant, stable democracies - expand liberty - allowing the entire human race to pursue happiness.
